Are sliding doors useful

Just this week, my local gym installed power sliding doors. I have some reservations about it but for the most part electric sliding doors are ok. Here are my cons and pros.
Cons:

Electricity can always cause problems
Delay in sensors
Cost of repair
Cost of installation

Pros:

Pleasing on the eye
Great for the disabled and handicap
Practical
Automatic
